Today we have some excellent articles, so make sure you read more than what I highlight. First, Twitter open sourced Heron, its’ distributed stream computation system. I am not sure how many companies have a need for this kind of thing, but it is good to see it available. On the Intent HQ Engineering blog, we get a great explanation of Big Data and the CAP theorem in plain english. At KD Nuggets, we have an explanation of key machine learning terms. This is very important for all of the people just getting into machine learning. Each industry has their own terminology, and machine learning has plenty to learn.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
