On Flowing Data we get a really cool visualization of Kung Fu masters. The movements are converted into different particle and wave formations for very cool effects. Julia Evans talks about how we should remain skeptical of machine learning. The basic idea is that machine learning is not a silver bullet and can be used much like any statistical model to prove whatever hypothesis you want. You really need to understand what the model is telling you and whether you gave it useful inputs.
