Another *aaS announcement starts our day as the Google Cloud Platform announces beta availability of Node.js on Google App Engine. Heroku talks about what they had to do in order to patch all of their servers due to the recent glibc security advisory. It is an interesting view into what a company like Heroku needs to do for critical updates. On DZone Agile, we get a good post about becoming a better developer. Read more! Seriously, developers need to keep reading in order to learn, and sometimes that means books. Not everything that you need to understand a problem can be found in blogs or StackOverflow answers.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
