Dan Luu starts our week with an excellent post about big company and startup work and compensation. There are a lot of trade-offs when trying to decide between the two and you really do need to look at the differences. Paul Hammant gives us his take on the “iron triangle” and how he thinks it is really a square. I know I have had problems with the idea that quality was controlled by the other factors. Yahoo Engineering has two very good posts for us as well. One is regarding Data Sketches and the other is about benchmarking streaming computation engines.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
