Krebs on Security starts our day with an interesting story that begins with a simple hack for a short Twitter username and evolves into the arrest of one of the people involved in the TalkTalk hack. In data visualizations, Flowing Data has a video about the evolution of US boundaries. It is based on the timeline of the US from colonial times, and it is really well done. On the Android Developers Blog they introduce Google Play Services 8.3, which has some nice features including solid improvements to authentication.
