Starting our day, The Android Blog talks abou ta new feature, Nearby, which allows you to discover things around you. It obviously requires Location services to be active, but it supposedly requires bluetooth as well, which might mean it will be hooking into beacons at some point. Tim Romero’s post about turning down investment money for his startup has been making the rounds. It is a very good post and he has a great point. If you have no idea what the product-market fit might be, why waste people’s money? Another post from Ayende @ Rahien makes our list today. This is another post in the database internals series and talks about LSM (Log Structure Merge). LSM is a fairly common option for many database engines.
