Google starts our day by announcing a new design for Google+. The focus is on the more community related items and not a general social network. I think it makes sense based on what I have seen in the past few years. On Google Cloud Platform we now get custom machine types, which is a huge bonus for anyone using cloud platforms. The inflexibility of the sizing of each server has always been a pain point for developers (or at least me). Martin Vigo presents some interesting research where he can compromise passwords in LastPass. I encourage you to read the post because there is a lot of good information on how to properly secure yourself as well as the details of how they crack the LastPass vault.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
