VentureBeat leads the day reporting on the growth of computer science as a major for women at Stanford. Obviously, this is just one school and it is near Silicon Valley, but this could be the start of a larger trend. The Guardian tells us about more carmakers that have issues with their diesel emissions tests. This is not a good sign for diesel cars, and might push more buyers to hybrids or electrics.
