Happy Labor Day to all of you in the states! The weekend did not have a lot of news, but it did bring us some good reading. There is plenty to read in the development section, but I am going to focus on machine learning today. First, WildML gives us a nice example of building a neural network from scratch. While libraries are helpful for this kind of thing, understanding how it works can help you appropriately define one. Next, depies ml shows us how to implement k-nearest neighbor, another useful ML algorithm. Last for today, is FeatureFu from LinkedIn. FeatureFu is a toolkit to help with feature engineering for many ML models.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
