Geek Reading August 20, 2015

Google leads the day with two articles. First, they announce OnHub, their new router for “a new way to Wi-Fi”. It is fairly expensive for a router, so I would not be surprised to see this thing eventually get upgraded software to become part of the smart home, like Amazon’s Alexa. On the Google Research blog, they finally release some information on their network infrastructure. There are few companies that pump as much data through their network as Google, so it is definitely worth the read. In other news, WordPress released v4.3, codename “Billie”.
