Leading off today, MIT News announces that Michael Stonebraker wins the Turing Award. He is one of the leading database researchers and the award is probably overdue. Valeria Maltoni, writing at Conversation Agent, talks about taking good advice, not just listening to it. There are a lot of development articles today as well. In particular, the Dart team decided to focus on compiling to JavaScript instead of trying to make Dart work in all of the browsers. With the coming updates to JavaScript, this could be an interesting development.
As always, enjoy today’s items, and please participate in the discussions on these sites.
